Innovative Tpe For Grip Application For Polar Enggineering Plastics
Haptics is the name given to the science of touch & feel.
TPE compounds is designed to give excellent haptics experience.
Over molding TPE compound on polar engineering plastic like nylon, ABS, PET, PBT, PC as a rigid substrate is well regarded to be challenging.
TPE compounds have been developed by reactive compatibilization. Family based on alloys of Acrylate Elastomers with PP, PU & Styrenic block co-polymers with capability to form ionic bonds with various Polar polymers & Engineering Plastics for over moulding with premium soft touch & feel.
Advantages of Overmolding;
- Overmolding eliminates the need for adhesives & primers to bond TPEs to rigid substrates.
- Overmolding of TPEs/TPVs provides aesthetics & functional grip performance.
Characteristics of OverMolding TPE/TPV Compounds;
- Adhere well to glass reinforced thermoset polyester parts. They also adhere to nylon & PP as well, given good interlock designs.
- They are Optimized to deliver strong abrasion, scratch & mar resistance Vs other soft grip polymers.
- Will perform better in flexural fatigue application than the classical TPE.
- Are highly resilient, & as close to a natural rubber, giving superior comfortable feel that one expects from a product designed for soft grips.

oury grips. super soft aand gummy. mtb riders have been using them for a while to handle some of the shock at the bars. also availible in a bunch of colors for the style concious rider.
